Just 467,000 jobs have\nbeen created in the last three months compared with 700,000 over the same\nperiod last year. That said, the rest of the report indicates resilience,\nwith a rise in the average number of hours worked and a stable unemployment\nrate that remains at an all-time low of 3.7%. Recent weekly jobless claims are\nalso at very low levels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Job\nOpenings and Labour Turnover\nSurvey (JOLTS) provides further insight into labour market trends, with the latest figures confirming that\nthe situation has not visibly\naltered as of end-July. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"560\" src=\"https:\/\/lazardfreresgestion-tribune.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/\/2019\/09\/16092019-2-1024x560.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-11560\" srcset=\"https:\/\/latribune.lazardfreresgestion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/16092019-2-1024x560.png 1024w, https:\/\/latribune.lazardfreresgestion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/16092019-2-300x164.png 300w, https:\/\/latribune.lazardfreresgestion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/16092019-2-768x420.png 768w, https:\/\/latribune.lazardfreresgestion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/16092019-2-600x328.png 600w, https:\/\/latribune.lazardfreresgestion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/16092019-2.png 1037w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>OUR<\/strong><strong>\n<\/strong><strong>ANALYSIS<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The\nsurvey lags the employment report by a month, but measures the number of\nadvertised job vacancies along with the number of hires, quits and layoffs.\nThis week\u2019s chart shows that monthly payroll additions have not lost any steam\nand that layoffs remain low.
