The Lazard Frères Gestion-Institut de France Foundation has been awarded the “Grand Prix de la Philanthropie 2022” in the Art and Culture category. This distinction rewards our initiatives by underlining the Foundation’s commitment to the protection and enhancement of artistic and cultural heritage.
Organized by the Ficade Group, publisher of Gestion de Fortune, Décideurs Magazine, Investissement Conseils and Profession CGP, the “Grand Prix de la Philanthropie” is awarded each year to financial sector patrons.
We are delighted that the organizers have chosen to reward the Lazard Frères Gestion-Institut de France Foundation this year for its actions in the field of art and culture.
Created in 2020, the Lazard Frères Gestion-Institut de France Foundation works to protect and enhance our heritage. In two years, its initiatives have supported the restoration of works of art and manuscripts, promoted the place of women in artistic creation, and supported educational projects, in particular through the support given to students at the National Institute of Heritage and the National Superior Music and Dance Conservatory in Paris.
Prior to the creation of its Foundation, Lazard Frères Gestion had funded other philanthropic projects, including the restorations of Eugène Delacroix’s Christ in the Garden of Olives in 2017 and the Iron Cabinet of the National Archives in 2019.
The awards ceremony took place on October 24 at the Institut de France. The Foundation’s award was given to François-Marc Durand, Chairman of Lazard Frères Gestion.
